Position Qualifications/Responsibilities

Position Qualifications - Responsibilities:

The WellStar School of Nursing is seeking a clinical track faculty member who is prepared as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Teaching responsibilities include teaching at the graduate level in the WellStar Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program. Teaching will be mainly in the area of Adult Health Primary Care.

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

Candidates must possess a master’s degree (or the foreign equivalent or its equivalent in training, ability, and/or experience) with preparation as a family nurse practitioner. Candidates who possess the practice doctorate or terminal doctoral degree in nursing or a related field, or foreign equivalent in training, ability and/ or experience is ideal, along with previous classroom and clinical teaching experience in advanced practice nursing.

The WellStar School of Nursing produces the most new BSN graduate nurses in Georgia with both traditional and accelerated tracks. The MSN program prepares family nursing practitioners and nurse administrators. The WellStar Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program is conducted every other weekend on campus (Friday evenings, all day Saturday, and Sunday afternoons for the first 2 semesters).
