Position Qualifications/Responsibilities

Position Qualifications - Responsibilities:

The Department of Engineering Technology (ENGT) at Kennesaw State University is creating a pool of applicants in anticipation of future openings starting fall semester 2017 for part-time faculty to teach undergraduate Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) and Engineering Design Graphics (EDG) courses. MET courses are project based, application focused giving our students real life experiences in the classroom. Teaching responsibilities for MET include one or more courses and/or laboratories in basic engineering mechanics, including statics, dynamics, or strength of materials, or in thermodynamics, machine design, engineering materials, instruments and control systems, metrology & CNC, and fluid dynamics. Teaching responsibilities for EDG include courses using SolidWorks Design and/or AutoCAD software. This includes Survey of Engineering Graphics, Engineering Design Graphics I & II or Computer Aided Engineering. Review of the applications is ongoing. This position is renewable.

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

A minimum of a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology (or its foreign equivalent), or in a closely related field is required. Applicants with the training, ability, and/or experience equivalent to the minimum degree may be considered. Significant relevant work experience, college level teaching, and online teaching are pluses.
