Position Qualifications - Responsibilities:

The Department of Foreign Languages at Kennesaw State University seeks candidate(s) for appointment as part-time instructor or assistant professor in one or more of the languages taught in the Department on an ongoing basis. Responsibilities include teaching up to 2 classes per semester with a maximum of 4 courses per academic year. Required: enthusiasm/interest in teaching communicative, learner-centered, beginning language and culture courses. The Department offers beginning and intermediate level instruction in the following languages: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

Master’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in the target language or in a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the target language. PhDs or ABDs are welcome to apply. Applicants with the training, ability, and/or experience equivalent to the minimum degree may be considered. Previous experience in teaching beginning and/or intermediate language at the college level is ideal.
