Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month tenure-track Assistant Professor of History and Interdisciplinary Studies. This position is a joint appointment in the Department of History and Philosophy and the Interdisciplinary Studies Department. Applicants should possess expertise in the study of gender and history, with an expectation of teaching Women’s History and courses in the Gender and Women’s Studies program. The ideal candidate will have an ability to teach in other interdisciplinary undergraduate and graduate programs as well as general education courses. A commitment to excellence in teaching, complemented by strong scholarship and service, is expected of all faculty members in KSU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Faculty teach courses in a variety of modalities including face-to-face, hybrid, and online.

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

A Ph.D. in History, Gender Studies, or related field, or the foreign equivalent, is required by time of hire, as well as a record of effective university teaching and demonstrated potential for research. Applicants with the training, ability, and/or experience equivalent to the minimum degree may be considered.
