Position Qualifications/Responsibilities

Position Qualifications - Responsibilities:

The School of Music at Kennesaw State University anticipates openings for part-time faculty to serve as university supervisors of student teachers. The role of the university supervisor is primarily as a liaison between the university and the local schools, university and collaborating teacher, and university and the student teacher. Specifically, the university supervisor’s role will be broken down into three areas: instructing, counseling, and evaluation. University supervisors will perform 4-6 observations of the student teacher and assist in the completion of edTPA.

These positions are on an as-needed, per semester basis to supervise traditional and non-traditional students at off-campus sites.

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

Minimum qualifications are completed Master’s degree with at least 18 hours of relevant graduate credits, or its foreign equivalent.
Applicants with the training, ability, and/or experience equivalent to the minimum degree may be considered.
Experience as a P-12 classroom teacher or administrator and experience working with students and/or teachers in the field is required. Working knowledge of the Georgia PSC certification/ethics rules is desired. Reliable transportation required.
