Position Qualifications - Responsibilities:

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Kennesaw State University is creating a pool of qualified applicants for potential part-time employment opportunities to teach courses related to chemistry, biochemistry, and chemistry education. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering lectures, developing assessments, and assessing students’ mastery of learning outcomes. Classes may be scheduled at multiple campuses depending on the needs of the Department and student demand. Review of applications is ongoing. This position is renewable.

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

Applicant must have a minimum of a master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate hours in chemistry, biochemistry, a closely related field, or its foreign equivalent. Applicants with the training, ability, and/or experience equivalent to the minimum degree may be considered.

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is seeking candidates for potential employment beginning January 2018. We currently offer ACS accredited B.S. degrees in chemistry and biochemistry, as well as specialty tracks in forensics, pharmaceutical chemistry, and chemistry education. The Department provides extensive internship and research opportunities for students in its degree programs and launched a M.S. in Chemistry and Biochemistry Fall 2013.
