Position Qualifications - Responsibilities:

The Interdisciplinary Studies Department at Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a 9-month tenure track assistant professor in Asian Studies and Gender and Women’s Studies with an emphasis on popular and/ or contemporary culture, to begin August 6, 2018. Candidates will have the opportunity to develop courses in their areas of specialization in both the Asian Studies and Gender and Women’s Studies programs. Faculty members in the department teach in a variety of modalities: face-to-face, hybrid, and online. A commitment to excellence in teaching, complemented by strong scholarship and service, is expected of all faculty members in Kennesaw State University’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

A PhD in Asian Studies, Gender Studies or related field, or the foreign equivalent, is required, as well as a record of effective university teaching and demonstrated potential for research. Applicants with the training, ability, and/or experience equivalent to the minimum degree may be considered.
