Position Qualifications/Responsibilities

Position Qualifications - Responsibilities:

Nine-month annual contract (Aug- May)
Tenure-Track
Specialization in Professional Practice | Design studio | Digital Software Applications
Teaching expectations include: core courses in Professional Practice, Studio and Thesis Advising.
All faculty are expected to serve on various department, college and university committees as assigned
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate noteworthy Research and/or Creative activity

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

The ideal candidate will provide evidence of emerging research through scholarship or critical practice and demonstrate successful collaboration and innovation in teaching.
All candidates should possess research and teaching interests in the following areas:
• Professional Practice, Design and Digital Software

Minimum Qualifications for the position:

• Terminal Degree in architecture or allied field, or its foreign equivalent
• Professional Experience in Architecture or Design
• Related College level teaching experience

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or U.S. Architectural license or its foreign equivalent. Uniquely qualified candidates not meeting the license or Ph.D. requirements must demonstrate a critical body of creative work garnering national recognition in the field. Ideal qualifications for the position consist of a record of excellence in teaching, scholarship and/or critical practice and a flexible and integrative approach toward architectural education.
