Position Qualifications/Responsibilities

Position Qualifications - Responsibilities:

Candidates applying to this position are expected to have strong commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, and capability to develop research programs in the area of industrial and systems engineering. The successful candidate will teach online/hybrid undergraduate and masters level courses such as Statistics, Work Measurement, Facilities Planning, Reliability, Operations Research, Human Factors, and Simulation. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop a vigorous, interdisciplinary and sustainable research program in his or her area of expertise. Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate an interest in mentoring and advising students. Responsibilities will include teaching, scholarship, and service.

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

An earned doctorate degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering or closely related field (or the foreign equivalent ) is required. At least three years of relevant industry experience required and at least five years teaching experience is desirable. Strong candidates within other areas of expertise may also be considered. We are seeking an individual with strong interest in teaching at the undergraduate level and a strong potential for noteworthy scholarly activity. Other professorial ranks may be considered. A PE license is a plus.
